Ian Gray – Social Print & Copy

Established in 2019 Social Print and Copy (SP&C) delivers work ready training and creates pathways to full employment through the delivery of our products and services including Copiers, Printers, Document Solutions, Digital Scanning, Print Fulfilment and Cartridge Repurposing.

Our programme offers opportunities for young adults living in some of Scotland’s most economically and socially deprived communities. Through our training platform and a structured 2-year apprenticeship scheme, we offer a route to full-time roles within SP&C. Our aim for the period of 2023 to 2025 is to bring in up to 30 young adults into our training programme.

We also help organisations support environmental and carbon reduction through advising and guiding third-sector organisations on their digital journey from paper to cloud, and our recently launched Envirobox programme. Toner recycling boxes (Envirobox) are provided to SP&C customers for the safe disposal of ink and toner cartridges. For every Envirobox collected a carbon reduction certificate is presented back to the client showing the positive impact of their actions.

We are also delighted to have been short-listed in the Tech for Good category at the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2023. We believe this is testimony to the many great clients and suppliers we have supporting our objectives and aims and helping us grow and provide more no barrier work opportunities for young adults.

What our customers are ssying about SP&C and the services we deliver

Printer supply and services support

Keegan & Pennykid was founded in Edinburgh in 1968 and provides its clients with professional and independent insurance advice.
Although happy with their previous print supplier that they’ve had for many years, Keegan & Pennykid were actively looking to update their supply chain and move away from corporate organisations into third sector partnerships. Due to their own target market and specialism, they would rather put funds into a social enterprise.
“In the absence of the ability to offer apprenticeships ourselves it is great to have the ability to facilitate that for another organisation such as Social Print & Copy.”

Print Fulfillment

Scran Academy is a catering charity and social enterprise on a mission to see every young person, regardless of background or barrier, realise their full potential in learning, work and life. Too many young people in our most challenged communities never realise their talents or aspirations due to the effects of social inequality and poverty.
“We have been printing with Social Print and Copy for over a year, and they have been extremely helpful, printing to the highest possible standard at an amazing speed, even completing jobs over the weekend for us when we had a tight turnaround. They have been incredibly helpful and professional from start to finish.”
